Fernau Solutions helps Unilink win multi-million pound contract

Fernau Solutions helps Unilink win multi-million pound contract with Government of South Australia

Unilink is a highly innovative technology company who provide biometrics and other digital services to the criminal justice sector. They won the Queens Award for Enterprise Innovation this year and provide services to the Ministry of Justice, G4S, Serco, Sodexo and several police forces.

In the Autumn of 2014, Unilink asked Fernau Solutions to help them to bid for this tender for an Electronic Professional Visits Booking System, after Fernau Solutions had previously helped them to engage successfully with the UK Ministry of Justice.

Fernau Solutions initially reviewed the tender document to identify pitfalls and clarification questions to ask. After Unilink prepared their draft bid, we effectively ‘pre-evaluated’ it from a buyer’s perspective to provide prioritized guidance on areas to improve before final submission.

After evaluation, Unilink were awarded the contract and are now in the middle of implementation.

Francis Toye, MD of Unilink said “We were delighted to win this contract and to build our footprint in Australia.  We have also found analysis of other bids by Fernau Solutions helpful; they enabled us to strengthen our bid where it needed it most.  Ultimately we have now started up a business in Australia, employing five staff, thanks to this success.”
